Meditative State via Flowing

For me I’ve always been more artistic; I would draw, color, paint, and even write poems at an early age. Knowing that art came more easily for me than others was something I made myself proud, and keeping practice at the things I loved doing made me even more confident in my abilities to take on the world. I love watching things or people grow, and especially love watching hand-painted sunsets that spread across the sky in a whirl of cotton candy colors. Inspiration for me, is always the upper hand because I can not only think outside the box and different about various issues, but I can also think empathetically about how something or someone can feel about it.

I love flowing, my escape almost every other day is attaining practice and flow state with my whip. It brings me a lot of joy to hold it in my hand creating art with my body. In the beginning though, I was insecure about how I looked. Always keeping an eye out for anyone watching me at shows and making mistakes. But therein lies the problem, as beautifully laid out by none other than, Bob Marley. “None but ourselves can free our minds.” This quote lives rent free in my head, knowing that another human has struggled with that negative state of mind, really in fact, freed mine. I now, try to live in the space holder mental space; where I can help others feel comfortable with their flow too, and not just me. I proudly show that I am a walking talking mistake maker, so that old me can see how far I’ve come. I used to lower my head and walk without purpose knowing that I didn’t deserve to express myself within a flow state.

In other words, keep a low profile. Well, I can tell you that if you think about going to that festival or entering the rave with a flowing device. You not only will be thanked for your meditation in the flow state, but you will also be an inspiration to others who are thinking about becoming part of a great atmosphere. We can all be loved, we just must have the right tools to support one another, in a world trying to silence our expression.
